Pink Tartan: Highlights From The Spring/Summer Line

Pink Tartan, the brainchild of designer Kimberly Newport-Mimran, has been one of the more buzz-worthy Canadian fashion labels in recent memory. Since the founding of its first showroom in New York in 2004, the brand has established roots on both sides of the border; its flagship location opened in Yorkville, one of Toronto’s most prestigious neighborhoods, in 2010. The line is also available in specialty stores across Central America, the Middle East, and Europe.

She and her family now split their time between Toronto, New York, and Palm Beach, and to say that their lives are deeply immersed in the fashion industry would perhaps be a bit of an understatement; Newport-Mimran’s husband is Joe Mimran, who launched the Club Monaco and Joe Fresh brands. While they’re something of a power couple in the Canadian fashion world, and Newport-Mimran honed her skills while working with Club Monaco for a time, Pink Tartan is quintessentially Kimberly. “I’m a sportswear designer,” she says of herself. “I make clothes to live your life and easily transition from day to dinner.”

We here at KHACHILIFE are loving the new spring/summer 2017 line from Pink Tartan, and so we’ve decided to round up some of its highlights for readers looking to invigorate their wardrobes this season. “New Romantic” is the name of the line, and it’s a fitting choice; delicate ruffles and blouses are appropriately reimagined here with all the streamlined gravitas of a power wardrobe.
