Everything You Need To Know About the Rosewood Baha Mar

The Rosewood Baha Mar — otherwise known as the newest luxury resort in the Bahamas — opened its doors in June of last summer. Described as “the essence of Bahamian refinement and sophistication,” this 5-star hotel is nestled on Nassau’s Cable Beach, where the white sand meets the turquoise blue water. The Rosewood Baha Mar has generated major buzz around the world thanks to its ability to blend Bahamian culture with a luxurious atmosphere, featuring modern architecture, oceanfront villas, private beach access, fine dining, and a lavish spa. Read on to discover everything you need to know about the newest resort to open in the Bahamas.

The Rosewood Baha Mar comprises 237 rooms, suites, and villas, each with their own unique appeal. Inspired by a modern Bahamian estate, each accommodation type is brimming with tropical elegance, from the coastal colour palette of beige, white, and blue to the local art that adorns the walls. Each room is also equipped with Rivolta Carmignani linens, premium bath products, and furnished outdoor living spaces.

When it comes to rooms, resort and ocean views are available. One tier above that are the suites, available as studios, one-bedrooms, or multi-bedrooms. And finally, if you’re sparing no expense, consider opting for the private beachfront villas; the ocean-front six-bedroom villa even comes with its own infinity pool!

As soon as news of the latest Rosewood property broke, we knew fine dining would be part of the final product — but the Rosewood Baha Mar has truly outdone itself when it comes to the on-site food and drink establishments. First is Commonwealth, the hotel’s London-brasserie-style eatery, serving up hearty meals from around the globe (it even has its own Rum Room, which is available for private parties). Manor Bar specializes in handcrafted cocktails and light fare, while The Library is where guests can indulge in champagne, wine, or even a spot of afternoon tea. Finally, Costa boasts fresh seafood dishes with an irresistible Latin American twist. With so many diverse and elegant options, you’ll never tire of dining at the Rosewood Baha Mar.

Relaxation and rejuvenation are at the heart of the Rosewood Baha Mar, which is why no stay at the hotel is complete without a visit to Sense, the indulgent, on-site spa. Sense Spa offers an impressive range of full-body, hand, feet, and face treatments, many of which incorporate local elements and traditions. The Arawak Body-Balance treatment, for example, was inspired by the Arawak indigenous peoples, the first inhabitants of the Bahamas, and includes a Moringa Leaf body wrap. (Moringa leaves are native to the island and are known for their antioxidant properties).

Another way to sit back and relax? Poolside! And there are two to choose from; the Quiet Pool is for maximum tranquility, while the Lagoon Pool was designed with family fun in mind. To top it all off, there is also a 24-hour fitness centre and a salon for all your hair care needs.
