So, in the interest of keeping you informed about the latest booze-infused bubbly waters, here are seven that recently hit my radar.
BANGARANG – PINK LEMONADE
Ontario-based Hard Seltzer brand Bangarang, is starting off summer strong with the release of its latest flavour: Pink Lemonade.
An adult version of a classic summer favourite, Pink Lemonade is low-calorie, has only 2 grams of sugar and 5% alcohol and comes in a 473 ml can. It’s super yummy.
Hand crafted and hand packed at Bangarang’s London brewery, Pink Lemonade is the next low-calorie, colourful option (it comes in a standout pink can) to join the brand’s unique flavour lineup, which includes: Blue Raspberry, Lemon Lime and Mango. Unlike the other flavours which are clear, Pink Lemonade has a pink hue that looks pretty poured over ice.
Seltzer sales soared between March 7 – 30 2020, topping $1 billion compared to $1.5 billion in all of 2019. As seltzer is becoming a year-round beverage, London brewery Bangarang, continues to differentiate its brand by focusing on taste first and offering unique flavours. The wine comes from a cooperative of small vineyards in Italy who are committed to sustainable farming and wonderful grapes. When the company first came across these winemakers, they were only exporting a tiny amount of their wine. Once it was tasted it was quickly realized why they wanted to keep it all in Italy. After some discussion (and many more tastings), a partnership was formed. Soon after, the wine started its trans-Atlantic voyage as the company stalked its progress like an overzealous crush.
Add in a splash of organic Californian orange juice, and you’ve got the Modern Mimosa. Through a little bit of math and a lot of testing, Mayne & Co found the perfect formula.
