Another super easy dish even for those not particularly culinary-inclined. Wow your friends and family with this home chef’s version that will be sure to surprise and delight come Sunday brunch.
INGREDIENTS
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
4 tablespoons butter
4 whole eggs
1/4 cup 2% milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
8 slices of bread (BEST choices are challah, brioche, or white bread)
Fresh blueberries
Maple syrup
Icing sugar to garnish

INSTRUCTIONS
*****Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
In a small bowl, combine dry ingredients (cinnamon, nutmeg, and sugar) and set aside.
In a 10-inch or 12-inch frying pan, melt butter over medium heat.
Whisk together cinnamon mixture, eggs, milk, and vanilla, and pour into a shallow bowl.

Working in batches, coat bread with egg mixture and place in heated frying pan.
Cook until each side is golden, 2 to 3 minutes per side.
*****SPECIAL CULINARY TRICK: Place onto baking sheet and bake in the oven until crisp and slightly puffed – about 12-15 minutes.
Serve with fresh blueberries, warm maple syrup, and butter.
Top with icing sugar if desired.
