Beach Inspired Smoothie

Capture summer’s vibes by blending all of your favourite fruits into one sweet, creamy, and delicious smoothie. Packed with protein and good fats, it’s a great way to start your day!  Not to mention that by sneaking in some beets, acai, and spirulina powder, you’re adding the mighty benefits of antioxidants and phytonutrients.

Enjoy this layered smoothie while sitting in the sun — drink up!


1 pear

1 banana

2 tablespoons almond butter

2 scoops vanilla protein powder

1/2 cup vanilla yogurt

1/2 cup coconut milk (or any nut milk)

For the blue mixture:

½ cup frozen blackberries

1 teaspoon acai berry powder

For the green mixture:

½ cup spinach

¼ teaspoon spirulina powder

For the pink mixture

½ cup frozen raspberries

1 tablespoon grated beets

Toppings (Optional)

1 spoonful vanilla yoghurt

1 pinch toasted coconut

1 pinch bee pollen

1 pinch hemp hearts.


  1. Blend pear, banana, almond butter, protein powder, yogurt, and milk in a high-speed blender until smooth. Split this between 3 glasses.
  2. Add 1 glass back to the blender and add the blackberries and acai powder and pour back into the same glass.
  3. Repeat for each layer.
  4. Begin by spooning the blue mixture between 2 large, clean glasses. Then layer the green and the pink layer. Finally, top with a bit of vanilla yogurt and sprinkle with toasted coconut, bee pollen, and hemp hearts.
