April Buyer’s Guide: Great Guy Gear

Gentlemen, you know we love a well-designed gadget or product; if it looks great, works well, and enhances our lives just a little, we’re sold.

Our editorial team has curated a list of some of the hottest products for men on the market this month. If spring is ushering in the mood to purge, consider swapping last year’s gear for some of the items below.

“Introduced in the late 1970s, Bulova’s all-digital Computron is making a return appearance. The reissue retains the trapezoidal case and angled LED screen of the original while adding a dual time zone function and a month/date/day indicator. It will come in three references, including a gold-plated option with matching bracelet and red display, a black version with a rubber strap and red display, and a stainless model with a matching bracelet and blue display.”

“Regardless of the terrain, this new gravel E-bike from Yamaha is up for the task. The bike features the company’s PW Series SE electric drive system, with four different levels of pedal assist, and is powered by a 500-watt battery pack. The levels range from a small push to a max speed of 20 mph. A bar-mounted computer display helps you shift through those modes and also provides info on the battery life, distance ridden, speed, and more. The Wabash is built on an aluminum frame and fork with Yamaha’s Triple Sensor System, which tracks rider power generation, bike rolling speed, and pedal revs per minute. Available in three sizes in one colour at independent bike dealers this month.”

“Whether used as a tender or on its own, Sunseeker’s Hawk 38 offers high-speed fun on the water. It’s powered by twin Mercury R400 outboard motors with enough power to send it skating across the water at speeds up to 62 knots, or 70 mph. 38 feet in length, it has plenty of space to enjoy, including a sunbathing area, an aft-facing U-shaped seating area with a quick-release table for alfresco dining, and more forward-facing seating behind the helm. The latter houses a Simrad navigation system and Mercury Racing Digital Zero Effort throttles while offering space underneath for a full bath.”

“The Nue Co. Power Up fills a gap in the energy-boosting market that’s long been void. In a world now filled with sugary blended coffee drinks and preservative-filled cans of glowing liquid, Power Up is a welcome and much healthier alternative to getting your morning (or workout) started. The 3-ingredient natural formula is a mixture of Brazilian guarana and adaptogens that deliver a caffeine kick the equivalent of an espresso shot, minus the jittery aftermath. While it gives you enough juice to power through your gym session or just your average morning, the addition of maca root and goji berries also aids in digestion while providing a boost of antioxidants. While it can be blended with water out of convenience, we recommend adding it your smoothie or blended beverage both in the morning and pre-workout.”

“The latest addition to BYREDO’s hand care line features a new rinse-free hand wash. Its unique alcohol-based formula gently cleanses the hands whilst delicately hydrating and refreshing them on the go. Apply one drop of product onto the hands and apply evenly on both hands for an immediate clean and fresh feel.

Pink pepper opens optimistically in combination with a radiant chord of raspberry. Finally, a base of patchouli and white musk gives the rose an eternal and sophisticated aura.”

“Also for your consideration is this Universal All-In-One Travel Charger from FuseChicken. Doubling as a wireless charger for your smartphone, this portable battery pack comes with adapters for US, UK, EU and AU travellers and a handy readout on the side to tell you your exact charge percentage. A small handheld device, this travel charger increases your on-the-go convenience of not requiring a charging cable when your phone battery gets low. Boasting a 6700mAh with 18kW output, as well as both USB-A and USB-C multi-device compatibility, this is a great piece of tech to add to your travel bag.”

“This bullet-type stacking equipment lets the JaxJox KettlebellConnect shift from 12 to 42 pounds in mere seconds. It’s a great fitness device that will not occupy a lot of space at home. Additionally, it has six-axis mobility sensors that monitor your moves, documenting repetitions, positions, weight, energy, and workout duration to an app. Typically, the lithium-ion battery power lasts up to 14 hours on a single charge, and also each one supports as much as 9 users; to this extent, all your buddies could utilize it.”
