New year, new you. Now that we’ve rounded up our extensive January reading list to help launch us on the path to a healthier, happier year in 2019, it’s time to find the right tools to help us on that journey. We’ve tracked down a list of products to get you started on a wellness regimen that focuses on our full, fabulous selves — inside and out.

Japanese beauty brand DHC has been shaking things up in the Western  market for years with its fusion of traditional herbology practices and innovative formulas. This creamy lip balm is perfect for the dry winter months, thanks in large part to its infusion of antioxidant rich olive oil. (Fun fact: the company was started thanks to its founder’s discovery of the highest grade of organic oil in Spain.) Other ingredients include squalene (a natural moisturizer and irritant protector, derived from olives), ginseng extract, lanolin oil, and a strengthening and conditioning Aloe barbadensis leaf juice. Who says kissing in the winter should be a cold affair?

Gone are the days of a common belief that facial oils would make the face — well, oily. Skin sometimes needs that extra boost, especially in the cold. This Winter Facial Oil from de Mamiel was hand-blended just in time for the winter solstice and is packed to the brim with essential oils, fruit and plants extracts, minerals, vitamins, and fatty acids. The fragrant nature of the oils will make applying this a soothing aromatherapy ritual.

Gearing up to hop on the New Year detox train? This Wild Rose Herbal D-Tox is not your average flash-in-the-pan detox trend; in fact, it’s been used in Canadian clinics to provide multi-system detoxification for over thirty years. This system works to cleanse the colon, kidneys, urinary tract, gastro-intestinal system, and liver. Hoping to clear congestion or simply give your immune system a boost following last month’s overindulgence? Reach for this tried-and-true solution.

Lack of access to fresh produce in January can leave us reaching for frozen alternatives, but there’s little substitute for the flavour and nutritional value of garden-fresh herbs. The Prepara Herb Savor will keep herbs fresher for up to three weeks — especially helpful considering the longer travel times and shorter shelf lives for these green goodies in winter. These pods contain an easily refillable water well with a removable stainless-steel rinsing basket and slim non-slip base, and are neatly designed to fit right in your refrigerator door.

There’s a plethora of innovative water bottles on the market right now, boasting everything from smart technology to super advanced filtration systems. This is the only water bottle in the world, however, to certifiably reduce lead content. As convenient as filtered water bottles can be, they come with the added hassle of sourcing new filters, buying them, changing them, etc. ASTREA streamlines this process as much as possible, shipping them right to your door — and best of all, the shipping is always on them!

The bala bangles might just be the coolest wrist and ankle weights we’ve ever seen. At one pound apiece, they add just the right amount of resistance to your workout without getting too uncomfortable, while allowing for a much greater range of motion than dumbbells. These chic wearables are available in a range of colours (we’re partial to the neutral shade of Bone above) and can be used for yoga, running, aerobics, pilates, walking, traveling, home workouts, core training, and more.

Pent is one of the names in luxury fitness equipment, and the SCALA™ Luxury Fitness Ladder is perfectly happy to live up to those high standards. Handmade from natural European walnut wood and stainless steel, it looks positively stunning on a wall — and not only does it function to facilitate some heavy-duty stretching, but it also features removable rungs that can be used as weights! Perfect for dancers (or wannabe dancers — hey, new year, new interests!).

When the fittest man on Earth stands behind a product, it’s definitely worth looking into. Matt Fraser, who currently holds that staggering title, has declared that the Theragun is an “absolute game changer.” Quite the endorsement — but then again, it was also invented by Dr. Jason S. Wersland, a chiropractor and motorcycle accident survivor who knew from firsthand experience how effective portable/at-home pain treatment devices could be. This sleek, high powered machine uses 2,400 RPMs via 6 physician-designed attachments to provide pain relief and perform targeted muscle treatments. The result? Well, in actress/cancer survivor Olivia Fox’s own words: “I had a rare bone cancer and wasn’t able to do much but lay in bed for 2 years. Then I found the Theragun and it totally changed my life and my ability to manage my pain. I healed myself.”

Desktop computers aren’t as obsolete as we tend to think these days; they’re certainly easier on the neck then laptops, and bigger screens in our homes handily function as secondary television screens. MX Vertical is an advanced ergonomic mouse perfect for those whose jobs and lives must revolve around those screens, specifically designed to reduce muscle strain, decrease wrist pressure, and improve posture — all thanks to its science-driven specs and customizability, compliments of its advanced Logitech Options software.

We’ve seen some seriously gorgeous, luxuriously designed home gym equipment, but we’ve never seen anything quite like this — because, well, you don’t see it. The Mirror is an interactive home gym that doubles as (yep, you guessed it!) a mirror when not in use. Unlimited classes can be streamed from a New York City studio; cardio, yoga, boxing…try them live or take them at your own pace thanks to an extensive library of on-demand workouts. And hey, when the workout is over, admire the fruits of your labour in your reflection — you’ll be feeling as great as you look.
