There’s no denying that Jackson Hole, Wyoming is one of the hottest destinations of the moment. In case you still need convincing, continue reading to discover why you should be flocking to this alpine resort town ASAP.

Incredible Scenery

When you think of Jackson Hole, the first thing that comes to mind is likely the scenery. And you’d be right to think so; the area’s natural beauty is unparalleled. The up and coming town is nestled amongst the Rocky Mountains and situated right next to Yellowstone National Park (arguably the most beautiful national park in all of the United States). On your way to Yellowstone, you’ll pass through Grand Teton National Park, and only a short drive south of the airport you’ll find the National Elk Refuge. In essence, you’re never far from nature. Thus, it’s no surprise that Jackson Hole’s tourism is largely centred on outdoor activities. In the summer, the area plays host to white water rafting, hiking, fly fishing, horseback riding, hot air ballooning, and golfing. In the winter, it is a haven for skiers and snowboarders (there are three nearby ski resorts, including the iconic Jackson Hole Mountain Resort), with other activities ranging from dog sledding to snowmobiling. Finally, beyond the dramatic canyons, snow-capped mountains, and natural hot springs that await in the parks, Jackson Hole is also home to incredible wildlife. Keep your eyes peeled for elk, moose, grizzly bears, wolves, bison, and otters. Whether you wish to immerse yourself in nature or just enjoy the views from the comfort of your alpine chalet, the picturesque scenery is one of the biggest draws of Jackson Hole.

Luxury Accommodations

For a rustic yet glamorous escape from city life, Jackson Hole is the place to be. This cozy ski town is filled with historic lodges and alpine chalets, each with a distinct mountain chic vibe. The 5-star Four Seasons Resort and Residences Jackson Hole is by far the most luxurious and convenient property in town, featuring ski-in and ski-out privileges, an outdoor heated pool, and suites with marble bathrooms, sizeable terraces, and gas fireplaces. Hotel Jackson is another luxury option for visitors who prefer a more contemporary design. This is the most upscale boutique hotel in town, with a decor style that effortlessly blends modern minimalism and rustic chic. The last resort that deserves to be mentioned is the Amangani. Unlike the other hotels, Amangani is not located in downtown Jackson Hole. Instead, this 5-star property is set on the foothills of the Teton Mountains, surrounded by nature and in the path of elk and moose. Allowing guests to immerse themselves in the fresh mountain environment is key at this secluded hotel. Suites as well as full-size homes are available for rent, and if that isn’t enough to entice you, the resort temporarily served as Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s home while West was recording his Ye album in March 2018.

World-Class Cuisine

Despite Jackson Hole’s isolated locale, it is home to a thriving restaurant culture. Gourmet restaurants have cropped up in recent years, firmly establishing Jackson Hole as a must-visit destination. Some of our favourites include Snake River Grill, where experimental American cuisine is being served on the daily in a log cabin setting. The Blue Lion, set in a charming historic house, is also worth mentioning as it boasts an impressive wine menu alongside inventive, local fare, such as grilled elk filet and buffalo tenderloin.

Overall, the region’s gorgeous properties, top-notch eateries, and incomparable nature tourism are a winning combination, making Jackson Hole one of the trendiest luxury travel destinations in 2020.
